Privacy & Cookie Policy

Last updated: 10 July 2026

This policy explains how Aoni AI Ltd ("Aoni", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit aoni.io or contact us. We are the data controller for the purposes of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Information we collect

  • Information you give us: when you complete a contact or "Get Started" form, we collect your name, email address, phone number and any message you send.
  • Usage & analytics data: if you accept analytics cookies, we collect information about how you use the site — pages viewed, approximate location (country/city), device and browser type, and the source that brought you to us.

2. How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request.
  • To understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it.
  • To measure the effectiveness of our marketing.

Our lawful bases are your consent (for analytics cookies and marketing) and our legitimate interests (to respond to enquiries and run our business).

3. Cookies

A cookie is a small file stored on your device. We do not load any non-essential cookies until you accept them via our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site, which will bring the banner back.

Cookie / storage Provider Purpose Type
aoni_cookie_consent Aoni (localStorage) Remembers your cookie choice Essential
_ga, _ga_* Google Analytics 4 Measures and analyses site usage Analytics (consent required)
_lfa Leadfeeder (Dealfront) Identifies the company (not the individual) behind a visit for B2B lead generation Analytics (consent required)
reb2b.* RB2B Identifies US-based business visitors for lead generation (US traffic only) Analytics (consent required, US only)

We use Google Consent Mode v2, so Google Analytics and our B2B analytics tool (Leadfeeder) only set cookies and collect data after you click "Accept". If you click "Reject", no analytics cookies are stored.

Leadfeeder (Dealfront) identifies the organisation associated with a visitor's IP address so we can understand which companies are interested in Aoni. It does not identify individual people by name.

RB2B is used to identify business visitors located in the United States only. It is not loaded for visitors in the UK, EEA or elsewhere, so it never identifies UK/EU individuals. See the "US residents" section below for your opt-out rights.

When you visit or log in to our website, cookies and similar technologies may be used by our online data partners or vendors to associate these activities with other personal information they or others have about you, including by association with your email. We (or service providers on our behalf) may then send communications and marketing to these email addresses. You may opt out of receiving this advertising by visiting https://app.retention.com/optout.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the site, such as Google (Analytics), Leadfeeder / Dealfront and RB2B (B2B website visitor analytics) and our email delivery provider. These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements. Some may process data outside the UK/EEA under safeguards permitted by data protection law.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings (up to 14 months) in aggregated form.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict our processing.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

7. US residents (California / CCPA)

If you are a US resident, we use RB2B to identify business visitors from your website activity. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), the use of these identification services may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.

You have the right to opt out. To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, simply click "Reject" in our cookie banner — no analytics or visitor-identification tools are loaded unless you accept. You may also opt out of RB2B's data partners directly at https://app.retention.com/optout, or email us at info@aoni.io to exercise your rights, including access and deletion. We do not knowingly process the data of individuals under 16.
